Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-29-2018

We arrived at Guadalupe Island early after noon today. Within a few hours we were able to find excellent size schools of beautiful grade yellow fin tuna. It wasn't until the that they decided by. He stayed with them and drifted tell dark hooking about 15 yellowfin tuna. The landing ratio wasn't great but we had our shot. We are staying the night and definitely going to be here again tomorrow. We're very excited by the amount of fish we saw here today!

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-30-2018

Fishing was a little scratchy all day. We hooked one around for the day and landed most of them! The sharks were not too bad. Knock on wood. Our adversary today was the weather we had some gnarly wind up to 35 kn gusting over the island at times and then it would be slick not a breath of air. We found drifting work the best to keep the tangles down to nothing. The weather as far as roughness was good being in the lee of the island. We're going to do this for a few more days and are still very excited about our prospects. As you can see the fish we landed today are absolutely beautiful grade.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-31-2018

Great fishing and weather today. Our success ratio was absolutely phenomenal. The grade and quality of fish course as you can see is excellent. As always it was calm in the Lee of Guadalupe Island. But today there was also know wind . Were super excited for another day tomorrow like we had today. See you then!

A little slower today but we still had lots of fun! Some more nice grade yellowfin and a few yellowtail thrown in. Good weather as you can see in the pictures! Fish started biting in the dark and we got our last fish in the dark. One more day wish us luck! We still have some openings on our six day after Thanksgiving if you want to come give this a try.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-02-2018

We finished up the trip with a bang today! The morning started off hooking a couple fish in the gray light and then immediately losing them both. After about a three-hour lull of hooking nothing we got very busy for about five hours. Again it was the beautiful grade we have been catching And posting pictures of of course. I'm sorry to say that that's all I have to show you today is more pictures of awesome yellowfin tuna. We didn't have many to choose from because we didn't even get a chance to start taking pictures until we had around 20+ on board, we were so busy. One thing I've been reluctant to talk about is the fact that there have been almost no shark interactions! I think we lost a total of maybe eight fish all trip to the tooth fairy. Early on in the season we were losing 50 to 80 fish every trip to the great whites. I know they're still here in big numbers I seen anywhere between 5 to 8 shark dive boats at the island this last five days. We still have four more spots on our six-day trip after Thanksgiving if you would like to to come and give this a try!
