Great news today from our one and only code boat captain down where we are headed. (You Girls know him as Andy. Shedhorn Lift Andy!) Fishing on cow's is insane! Thats all I will say. Swing over to His sight and you can get all the dope. www.redrooster3.com
We traveled all day and that's the plan for the next couple of days. We did part one of a part two seminar. Today was on wahoo, tomorrow will be a long one on the many ways we do and will fish for very large yellowfin tuna. After the seminar I saw some of the anglers getting some of their tackle ready, while others just enjoyed the good weather on the back deck, some with a cocktail and cigar in hands. It looked lovely. A couple movies were shown today. The expendables, and after finishing the trilogy to the Hunger Games I popped the movie in and checked it out. I thought it was well done.
The crew did some work on various small projects around the boat and will stay busy the next couple days with a couple more repairs, making gaffs, and rigging more tackle.
I almost forgot. Jeremy aka Jer Bear celebrated his 34th birthday aboard the Polaris Supreme today. We had a nice cake after dinner and all sang happy birthday to him. He said "what better place to spend your birthday then right here"? He later said he missed his cat and wife and wished they where here. Thats when we all suggested may be he had a little too much celebration and probably go to bed. (Just kidding Jen he didn't say any thing about the cat. Tommy:)
Mitch Hedberg joke of the day- I want my apartment to be infested by koala bears. It would be the cutest infestation ever. You'd turn on the lights and a bunch of koala bears would scatter. But I wouldn't want them to.
Passenger Charlie Middleton made me think of that today.

The Sat phone in down on the Polaris Supreme, but through the old fashion way I have a report that they are doing well. Nice quality fish with three at or over 200 lbs. and another nine between 100-150 lbs.
Weather has been a little windy and rolly, but has greatly improved by this morning. We'll keep you updated as best as possible as I get the reports.
Thanks for checking in,

Polaris Supreme Trip Update From Oct. 24th To Nov. 1 2012
Oh boy, where to begin? We're finally back on line here today. Our satellite connection way down where we fished doesn't work so until now we couldn't use the phone or send out our daily fish reports. But we're back on line. One week ago today we arrived at the Shamada Seamount just before or after lunch I can't remember, and it didn't take long before we saw a school of the bigguns right where we expected to see them so we didn't waste anytime and threw the anchor over right away, put out the kites and commenced fishing. No cows for us that day but we scratched at some big ones off and on till dark and that was that. No night bites while we were down here but it did start biting in the dark just before sunrise the next couple mornings and thats when we would catch our cows.
Throughout the next few days fishing was off and on depending on the time of day. When it was slow we would pull the anchor and troll for wahoo while dragging the kites behind us skipping rubber flying fish (yum yums) on top of the water. Pretty cool watching the bigguns hit these things. Usually they would miss the first few times but they keep trying until eventually they're hooked. When we weren't pulling on those we were jigging up steady wahoo strikes. When we would see the school of cows again we'd stop and fish them on anchor.
The biggest problem we had was keeping people fishing. When you have a charter with only 10 people it's hard to keep people at the rail so you don't know when the fish are biting because nobody's fishing. They're all chilling with a cocktail, beer and cigar in hands jamming to ipods hanging out. The weather was rough the first day down there and then the wind backed off and it got nice the rest of the trip fishing. We're now traveling home in o.k. weather. It's a little windy but it's a nice ride. We'll gladly take it.
Though we only had a few over 200, most everyone on board got there personal best and lots and lots of wahoo! And that's how I, Drew, remember it. Now I see what kind of editing and additions I get from Tommy. If anything is spelled wrong he wrote it.
Thats About it. Its pretty difficult to play catch up after 8 days. Tommy.
P.S. Don't worry Lon I Got's Plenty of rubber Flyers.
Polaris Supreme Update 11-02-2012
Today we traveled up past the Ridge and Alijos Rocks. The Guys have plenty of wahoo so we decided to leave any wahoo at the Rocks for one of the other boats in our code group who is going to be their later in the day. We wish them good luck. I have been very reluctant to bring it up but our weather has been and is fantastic so far and is forecast to be so for the next few days. And on another good note our speed going up the line has been great and we will easily make our ETA of 8:00 hrs. on Sunday morning. We will see all you Lady's who have chosen to make the 4 hour round trip to see your husbands their. The crew finished scrubbing the last major section of the boat and only have a little fine tuning for our next group The OTR Gang ( Ocean Tackle Research ). George has given me the ok to use up a couple of hours of our spare time to go looking for flying fish for kite bait next trip, wish us luck and thanks in advance George. The gang has just been kicking it. Charlie is trolling and has caught 1 dorado, Jer Bear is more like sleepy bear, George is making lists for his next trip. I don't think it has any thing to do with fishing because it had sluice box on it. Gunner has watched Jack Ass 3 Way too many times. Craig has been doing computer work and hanging with JC and Charlie on the aft deck. Brad, Bernie, Scott, and Bill are like ground hogs you just don't know how long they are going to be up for meals before they go back down napping. I went through over 1,000 pictures and came up with about 250 that I will put up on the web sight and our face book page on Sunday morning. I will warn you now that it's mostly guys cocktails cigars and sun sets. I can't believe we caught so many wahoo and I think their is only 2 wahoo pic's.
Well that's about it Eating very good still 4 meals a day. Sometimes we even have 10 zies and 2 zies. ( Ya Ya Richie I know that as well as other words I made up are spelt rong.) Getting caught up on the zzzzzz's. Thanks for tuning in Team Supreme.
Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-3-2012 Report
The last travel day of the trip. Yes we get in tomorrow morning at 8 am. The boat will have one night in and then we're off with the O.T.R. group on a 10 day trip. Last night we stopped and played a game called flying fish. Myself, Matty and Mark got down. I live for competition. Your parents always teach you it doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you tried your best. That's a bunch of crap. Winning is everything. I scored 18 points with 1 assist taking the trophy. Yup Lon, we got you some flyers for the kite. Today's just like the rest of travel days. There's a movie going, people hanging out outside in this nice weather and some zzz's going down as well. Jeremy's vacation is over today. He just got cell phone reception so income the texts so he's staying busy.
See You All Tomorrow. Drew

Good evening sports fans from the bridge of the Supreme. Today was yet another day off shore. We were busy all day long bendo on tuna mostly jumping from bird school to bird school with quite a bit of fish on the machines too. Chapparo's group always brings it every year when it comes to putting in time at the rail, even when Chef Mike nearly puts us to sleep with his thick juicy cheese burgers and homemade fries for lunch. Nobody wimped and took a nap after that big plate of food, we were all right back at it keeping the rods bent. That really sums up the day, exceptional tuna fishing and a tasty half pound rosemary chicken dinner with rice, green beans and stuffing topped with whole gralic cloves followed by bannana foster for dessert. All and all great day, beautiful weather and we hope the weather mans forecast stays true for good weather for the next 2 days. Til tomorrow friends, good night to all, and to all a good night.

Fishing on tuna started off good this morning and stayed that way till 11:00. Most of our catch came from one stop. From then on we where on the move to change our scenery. Weather is great and we can't wait to check out the sun coming up in a different place in the morning.
The Polaris Supreme Crew.
What a wonderful day yellowtail fishing we had! Limit style as they say. They malled the surface iron, bit the yo yo good and a small slider with a nose hooked sardine worked great. The fish where 25 pounds and weather was great. We all are looking forward to a good night sleep and a repeat of today. Have a great night Tommy and Crew.
Yellowtail fishing fell on its face today we had about 1 around. But we managed to keep busy have fun and catch some killer table fair. Thats right Rock Cod. You should see the rock cod fishing we had, it was pretty darn good. We where lucky the yellowtail and the Rock cod grounds are one in the same and we could do both while waiting for the yellows to bite. The lings and reds made up most of our catch today. All of us are looking forward to dinner tonight, it is going to be fresh tuna we caught a few days ago. We will be back in the tuna grounds tomorrow to finish off our trip. Tommy and Crew.
This is amazing we have fished 6 days out of 6 days. We fished 4 days in California and 2 days in Mexico and caught over half a dozen different game species. We wrapped up today in California fishing Bluefin and Yellowfin with good success. The top 3 fish at the scales will be bluefin. Thanks Tom Chaparro and gang for a great trip. Stay tuned for Drew and Crew on the 3 day leaving tomorrow. Tommy and Crew.
